Location : Dechanuchit Rd., Hua Hin Hua Hin Night Market Hua Hin Night Market is very popular place to visit and located in the centre of town between Petchkasem Road and the railway line, close range of modern pubs and restaurants.

The market is a fascinating insight into Thailand and the way Thais like to live. You will find countless outlets selling delicious food that is freshly cooked and served to you within a matter of minutes. Other than the food, you'll discover an overwhelming variety of local handicrafts, souvenirs and clothing on sale. The night market can get very hot and busy at weekends, so take your time here.

How to get there
Located in the center of Hua Hin town it runs the length of Dechanuchit Road from Phetchkasem Road to the Prapokklao Road next to the railway tracks.

2 Khao Hin Lek Fai Viewpoints

Location : Soi Hua Hin 56, Hua Hin Khao Hin Lek Fai Viewpoints Khao Hin Lek Fai well known as “Flintstone Hill”, the hill is located approximately 3 kilometers west of the town and is the best view point in Hua Hin. On Khao Hin Lek Fai provides a panoramic view of Hua Hin, the Royal Hua Hin Golf Course and the Gulf of Thailand.

On the way to the hill you can visit some temples, but you should also know that the road to the top is very steep. Only very strong should try to make their way to the top on bike. Vehicle transport is recommended. The best time to see the city is in the early morning.

4 Cha Am ATV Park

Location : Petkasem 212 Km. Rd., Cha Am Cha Am ATV Park The Cha Am ATV Park has three tracks with sharp curves, tall speed breakers and few bamboo bridges to test your riding skills.

Track A is for practicing, learning correct driving skills, test driving and learning intensive care controlling i.e. careful use of accelerator, reducing the speed, breaking or stopping, turning, balancing, learning road signs, warnings, and directions.

Track B is to have fun driving the ATV cars on adventurous, curving, uneven, and steep roads, which challenge your ability. To put to good use your skills gained from Track A and apply them to use on this track.

Track C was designed to simulate cross country driving which is not difficult or too tough for new drivers. You will have a lot of fun with this track and the experiences gained from tracks A and B can be put to good use on this track.

The ATV cars are available in 2 sizes; 90 cc. and 200 cc., with automatic gears, which are suitable for both new drivers and experienced drivers.

5 Hua Hin Floating Market

Location : Soi Hua Hin 112, Hua Hin Hua Hin Floating Market Hua Hin Floating Market built in around 2010 and nearby Sam Phan Nam Floating Market. The Hua Hin Floating Market is a bit more up-scale with many shops on the banks of a small, meandering, man-made river. All of the shops were built in a retro style to remind you of the olden days in Hua Hin. The boardwalk around the lake is wide which allows you plenty of space as you explore the shops. There are no cheap or tacky souvenirs here. Most things are good quality handmade products that you won't find elsewhere. There are also paddle boats and Thai boats in which you can float in the canal/river.

How to get there
The floating markets are located South of Hua Hin and towards Khao Takieb. By following the main road and then taking a right turn after the flyover and following the signposts we were able to find the Hua Hin Floating markets quite easily.

6 Plearnwan

Location : Soi Moo Ban Bor Fai, Hua Hin Plearnwan Plearnwan is a theme of unique brown wooden building features shopping complex, has two-storey courtyard-style building, an architectural statement in itself, houses a community of period-style shops selling everything from liquor, inexpensive plastic-and-tin toys, snacks as well as a beauty salon, photo studio, outdoor cinema screen and a 20-room guesthouse or 'Piman Plern Wan'.

Food is the main highlight at Plearn Wan. But other than the usual pad thai or grilled meat skewers, you will find a good mix of old and new. Hard-to-find snacks, such as ‘tong muan sod’ (sweetened pancake) and ‘ka lor jee’ (similar to Japanese mochi), are cooked up by order at one of the hawker carts lining the walkway along with typical fare such as noodles and barbecued pork over rice. And if you are a fan of Thai sweets, you will find a myriad of mouthwatering recipes here, from mango sticky rice to grass jelly with shaved ice and preserved fruits in sweetened syrup. Besides hopping from one food cart to the next, shopping is another favourite pastime for visitors to Plern Wan.

How to get there
  1. By Car - Drive along Highway No. 35 (Thon Buri-Pak Tho) passing Samut Sakhon and Samut Songkhram Provinces and then take Highway No. 4 to Hua Hin. Total distance is 123 kilometers. It takes 2.30 hrs. Alternatively, it is possible to travel via Nakhon Pathom and Ratchaburi Provinces, a journey which takes 3 hrs.
  2. By Bus - Busses from Bangkok's Southern Bus Terminal; 1st class (air-conditioned), 2nd class (air-conditioned) and (ordinary). The trip takes about 3 1/2 to 4 hours.

    The bus leaves for Bangkok from a station next to Siripetchkasem Hotel. In addition, there are air-conditioned buses for Chumpon Province (4 hours), Surat Thani Province (7hours), Phuket Province (10 hours) and Krabi Province (9 hours)

    Local buses / Song-Thaews - from Hua Hin to the Hat (beach) of Khao Takiap, Khao Tam and Suan Son. These buses run from around 6 am. until 5.50 pm.
  3. By Van - Various agencies on Khao San Road and Victory Monument in Bangkok operate minivans to Hua Hin.
  4. By Train - From Hua-Lum-Pong station, there are many trains to Hua Hin, Pranburi and Prachuap Khiri Kan. The trip takes about 3-3/4 hours from Bangkok.

7 Hua Hin Artist Village (Baan Sillapin Hua Hin)

Location : Hua Hin-Pala-U Rd., Hua Hin Hua Hin Artist Village Baan Sillapin Artists Village is Hua Hin’s original arts centre, opened in 1998 on a 10-rai (approx. 4 acres or 1.6 hectare) site in the hills just to the West of central Hua Hin. It is the base for the Hua Hin Artists Group, and the residence of Hua Hin’s most famous artist, Tawee Kesa-ngam and other artists who are also members of his family.

Baan Sillapin includes large galleries of arts and antiques, artist studios, a coffee and gift shop, and classrooms for their very-popular classes in painting and sculpture. The facility is a frequent host of special exhibitions and performance events.

The landscaping , setting, and architecture at Baan Sillapin are truly lovely, and it is one of the nicest places to while away some time in the afternoon.

8 Hua Hin Elephant Village

Location : Hua Hin - Nongplub Rd., Hua Hin Hua Hin Elephant Village Hua Hin Elephant Village have has 18 elephants, is located 3km west of Hua Hin. You can enjoy with ride an elephant, look baby elephant show and buy bunches of bananas to feed elephants.

You can watch the elephants taking their daily bath in the stream before beginning to demonstrate logging techniques used in the jungle. You will be surprised by their strength and clever team work.

Then you can climb on board the back of an elephant and ride through the jungle to visit a nearby village. This elephant ride takes about 1 hour for round trip. You can get shorter or longer trip if you want. This is an unforgettable elephant ride. After the elephant ride you may have your lunch at the camp.

9 Cicada Market

Cicada Market is located on Khao Takieb-Hua Hin Road or Hua Hin 87, at the entrance to the Hyatt Regency Hotel and before Sasi Theatre.

10 Pala-U Waterfalls

Location : Hua Hin Pala-U Waterfalls Pala-U waterfalls is about 60km west of Hua Hin, towards the mountain ridge that forms a natural border with Burma. This popular waterfall has 16 levels, water flows throughout the year. The multi-tiered waterfall is spectacular, especially in the rainy season. It is set in unspoilt rainforest that's teeming with birds, butterflies and all kinds of other wildlife. The third level offers a refreshing swimming hole after the short jungle trek.

One of the most beautiful waterfalls, not only in Hua Hin District, but also in Prachuab Khirikhan Province, Pala-U is located in Kaeng Krachan National Park. Only sixty-three kilometers from the city, you will enjoy the journey as much as the destination. A comfortable journey through the Thai countryside is always an experience.

The Tourist Service Centre of Pala-U Waterfall recorded that the number of visitors of Pala-U in each year is close to 100,000 people.

Pala-U waterfalls is located in Amphur Hua Hin, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province, in the southern part of the national park. Only 60 kilometers from the Hua Hin city.

11 Santorini Park

From Cha-Am or Hua-Hin you will need some motorized transport. If you come from Bangkok, you will see Santorini Park on the right hand side of the road just before the junction on the highway where you would turn left to reacfh Cha-Am. The big ferris wheel can’t be missed as well as the typical white houses.

12 Hua Hin Railway Station

Location : Damnoern Kasem Rd., Hua Hin Hua Hin Railway Station The Hua Hin Railway Station is one of the most famous sightseeing attractions in Hua Hin with a long cultural heritage and Royal connections. Built in the reign of King Rama VI, the station is one of Thailand's oldest railway stations. In addition, it is one of the country's most beautiful train stations with unique architecture. Its most striking feature is the splendid Royal Waiting Room constructed in the Thai architectural style. The room was relocated from Sanam Chan Palace in Nakhon Pathom Province during the reign of King Rama VI. Hua Hin Night Market The most colorful spot in Hua Hin during the night, the market offer a wide array of food, drinks, deserts, memorable souvenirs; all kinds of freshly-prepared dishes. Famous are Pad Thai, Hoi Thod, fresh seafood, Indian roti bread, coconut ice cream, etc. (the list is endless) This market will delight visitors wishing to savor the real taste of Hua Hin.

The station is located centrally in Hua Hin on the western end of Damnoen Kasam Road, and can easily be reached on foot in just a few minutes from the town centre.

13 Cha Am Forest Park

Location : Cha Am Cha Am Forest Park It is a quiet and relaxing place. You can go there for a picnic, play football with the kids, ride your bicycle, exercise, go for a jog. There are monkeys (gibbons) but they are on a small island so they can't come near you. There is also a Thai restaurant. It is such a nice place for traveler to break vehicles and themselves because the park has abundant trees, plants, physical exercise area and animals in the forest. And the thing you should not miss is a restaurant serving delicious food there. Cha Am Forest Park also offers a camping area and bungalow accommodation.

How to get there
It is closed to Petchkasem Road where is the main road to the south and it is far from Tambon Cha Am for only 1 kilometer, and from Cha Am Beach for only 1.2 kilometers.

14 Maruekhathayawan Palace

Location : Cha Am Maruekhathayawan Palace Maruekhathaiyawan Palace is a summer seaside palace, and it is often referred to as "the palace of love and hope". Maruekatayawan (Mrigadayavan) Palace is one of the oldest and most attractive royal palaces in Thailand. The Maruekatayawan Palace was constructed by His Majesty King Vajiravudh (Rama VI) in 1923 as a place where he could fully relax in great comfort amid a naturally serene atmosphere.

Located midway between Cha-am and Hua Hin in the Petchaburi province.

15 Phraya Nakhon Cave (Tham Phraya Nakhon)

Location : Sam Roi Yod District Phraya Nakhon Cave Tham Phraya Nakhon Cave can be reached on foot from Laem Sala beach inside the park. The rather steep and rocky ascent up the side of the mountain (about 430 meters long) provides spectacular sea views and takes about 30 minutes.

Tham Phraya Nakhon is actually two sinkholes whose roof has fallen in, letting in sunlight. In the middle of the cave is a Thai-style pavilion built for a visit by King Rama V in 1896. The cave was named for Phraya Nakhon, ruler of the city-state of Nakhon Si Thammarat, who inadvertently discovered it over 200 years ago when a gale forced his ship ashore.

How to get there
Phraya Nakhon Cave can be reached from Laem Sala Beach, by a steep rocky trail, 430 m. long and rising to a height of 130m., taking about 30 minute to climb. Caution should be used and proper footwear worn as the rock is sharp and can be slippery.

16 Huay Mongkol Temple (Wat Huay Mongkol)

Location : Hua Hin Huay Mongkol Temple Wat Huay Mongkol or the Huay Mongkol Temple was home to the immensely popular monk Luang Phor Thuad. This Buddhist temple is home to a Big Buddha statue that was commissioned by Queen Sirikit. Wat Huay Mongkol houses the largest statue of Luang Phor Thuad, set within a park-like setting that attracts many visitors each weekend. Luang Phor Thuad is a legendary Thai monk revered for his enlightenment and ability to perform miracles, many believe that the amulets created in his image guarantee safety in times of distress. This place may be more interesting among Thai tourists than foreign ones.

From Phet Kasem Rd. (Highway 4, heading to Prachuap Khiri Khan), take Highway 3218 and continue about 15km.

19 Hua Hin Sam Phan Nam Floating Market

23 Khao Nang Panthurat Forest Park

Location : Cha Am Khao Nang Panthurat Forest Park Most of this area is a limestone mountain. This park is a limestone mountain. There are steps all the way up, but you still need to wear proper shoes and it is very beautiful and unique. There is a large garden at the entrance, then you can follow the trail and climb up the mountain to discover some caves and enjoy a view of the coast. Each area has many kinds of lime stones as well as many beautiful caves such as Tham Pasang, Tham Mayom and Tham Chaeng.

24 The Sirindhorn International Environmental Park

Location : Rama VI Camp, Cha Am The Sirindhorn International Environmental Park The Sirindhorn International Environmental Park, located in the Rama VI Camp, was established by the cooperation of the Border Patrol Police Bureau, Huai Sai Royal Development Study Center, and the Foundation of Mrigadayavan Park under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Bejaratana, on the occasion of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn's Forty-eighth Birthday Anniversary, in 2003. The park was named "The Sirindhorn International Environmental Park", and HRH the Princess’s conceptions and duties performed when visiting the camp are main guidelines on the park's operation and willing to turn it into a live nature museum.

Furthermore, the park was founded with an aim to publicize HRH the Princess's honourable deeds and ingenuity in conservation of nature, environment, history, and culture, to both Thais and foreigners. Its missions include providing knowledge about the recovery of mangrove, beach and mixed deciduous forests, and habitat of fauna. In addition, the park will help promote ecotourism, and historical tourism as well.

The Sirindhorn International Environmental Park is operated by the Sirindhorn International Environmental Park Foundation, under the patronage of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.

25 The Venezia Hua Hin

26 Saphan Pla Pier

Location : Cha Am Saphan Pla Pier It is another Cha-Am tourist attractions where you can go there easily. If you like fishing and seafood, you will be absolutely amazed by the variety everyday. Moreover, there are many great seafood restaurants for your choice.

Drawbridge of Blue Crab Pulling, this is another interesting Thai tourist attraction. You shouldn't miss (Unseen in Thailand 3). What you will see there if fresh blue crabs in the net bags hanging down from the drawbridge to the shore in order to keep them all fresh getting ready to be sold. Every morning, fishermen sell those fresh blue crabs, so all customers can be sure how much they get fresh. And of course, when the customers would like to buy, the fishermen pull the net bags from the shore. This is the way they sell, that's why it is called blue crab pulling. If you buy blue crab there, they can cook and serve you with seafood dip as well. This is available everyday and we hope you like it.

28 Go Kart Hua Hin

Location : Soi Hua Hin 166, Phetkasem Rd. Go Kart Hua Hin Go Kart Hua Hin is located 6 kilometres from the Hua Hin city centre. At high speeds the track is a challenge for even the most experienced go-karters.

The 700 meter long track is twice as long as the average go kart track elsewhere. The kart and drivers are timed with the ROC Professional Lap Timing System. When the race is over, the drivers are given printouts showing the total time, laps, best lap, top speed and so on. The racing at Go Kart Hua Hin is as close to F1 racing as possible without joining a professional racing circuit.

Go Kart Hua Hin is equipped with 72 floodlights around the track which make night driving a possibility. The sun goes down early in Thailand, but the racing doesn't have to end at dusk. The 1500 watt spotlights light up the track like a football stadium. Go Kart Hua Hin will stay open until late as long as there are people who want to race.

If your family enjoys a good adrenaline rush, take a break from the beach and hit the track.

By Van
Take a minibus from near the Victory Monument (Anusawari Chai), near the BTS skytrain. Cost is 180 baht. The Hua Hin vans board in the alleyway next to Century Movie Plaza close to the stairs at the southern end of Victory Monument BTS station.
