Location : Amphoe Khlong Lan
Formerly, Mae Wong National Park was the centre of hill tribe for example Hmong, Yao, Muzer and Karen. The park was declared a national park on 14th September 1987 as the 55th park of Thailand. This 894 km2 park is located approximately 350 kilometres northwest of Bangkok in the provinces Nakon Sawan and Kampaeng Phet, West Thailand.

How to get there
By Car
The Mae Wong National Park Headquarters is located 20Km. south of Klong Lan, in Kampaeng Phet province. The quickest way driving from Bangkok, take highway 1 to Nakorn Sawan. Follow the highway for another 8Km. until you see the turn to Lad Yao. From Lad Yao take the road to Ban Khao Chon Kan, approximately 50Km, At th intersection turn right onto the road to Klong Lan (approx. 43Km.) In Klong Lan turn left for the last 20Km. to the park.

Driving form Kampaeng Phet, take highway 1 in the direction of Nakorn Sawan. After about 6Km. right at Ban Klong Mae Lai follow the road all th eway up to the park (approx. 75)There are signs leading to the park.

Tourist Attractions
Khao Mokoju: Khao Mokoju is like the park symbol. At 1,964 meters above sea level, this highest peak is the most beautiful in the region. In cool season, you can admire a wonderful cloud forest. You can hike for 38 kilometres from the Headquarters and take at least 5 days enjoying the nature there.

Chong Yen (Km.93): Located 28 kilometres from the headquarters. Km. 93 is the highest peak of Klong Lan-Umpang road so the weather is cool and windy. Besides, the breath taking views this is also an excellent place for bird watching.

Kaeng Pa Nang Koy rapids: Located some 1,400 meters from the headquarters, this is an ideal site for a picnic and bathing. About 350 meters from the rapid there is Pa Nang Koy Waterfall-the small fall but beautiful. Moreover, there is campground near the waterfall.

Mae Rewa Waterfall: Mae Rewa Waterfall is located some 21 kilometres from the Headquarters. It has 5 levels and a deep pool at the base ideal for swimming. To reach there you can take a hike to the fall.

Mae Kra Sa Waterfall: Mae Kra Sa Waterfall has a drop of over 1,000 meters divided over 9 levels. It is about 21 kilometres from the Headquarters and you can enjoy hiking through the nature trail to the fall.

Mae Gee Waterfall: Mae Gee Waterfall both are originated from Tanon Thong Chai mountain range. One of the levels of Mae Gee has a sheer drop of over 200 meters making it one of the biggest in Southeast Asia. You can reach by hiking.

Location : Amphoe Khlong Lan
The park is rugged and hilly, and is covered by fertile forest. Each mountain connects to Khun Klong Lan, the highest point with 1,439 meters from sea level.

How to get there
By Car
To get to Klong Lan National Park use the road number 1, at km. 346, take a left turn to the road number 1117 travel to Amphur Klong Lan for 36 kiometers. Arriving Kong Lan Market, then turn right for 6 kilometres to the headquarters.

Tourist Attractions
Kaeng Ko Roi: Located on Umpang- Klong Lan road, at Ban Pong Ron along the road for 15 km The rapid is formed by Klong Suan Mak, which comprises stream, prominence and beach; surrounded by valleys.

Klong Lan Waterfall: waters from many stream drops over the 100 meters high cliff, which is 40 meters wide. It is one of the most beautiful falls in Kampaeng Phet.

Klong Nam Lai or Pang Kwai Waterfall: Located 25 km from the Headquarters. It has 9 levels, each has different pool and height but you can swim in the 3rd level pool.

On the 7th December B.E. 2531 (1988), the Minister of Agriculture and cooperative and parties have surveyed the condition of conservation, forest Klong Wang Chao, Klong Suan Mak forests. They found the fertile and densely teak forest and others features. They would like to conserve the forest, thus, Klong Wang Chao National Park was gazetted on the 29th Augus B.E. 2533, (1990) with 747 km2.

How to get there
By Car
We can get these 3 National Parks by the same route. First, if you want to go Mae Wong National Park, starting from Bangkok, passes Kampaeng Phet and Klong Lan. At km. 62, turn to the road number 1117 (Klong Lan-Um Phang), there is an intersection to the park headquarters for 19 km.

To get to Klong Lan National Park use the road number 1 , at km. 346, take a left turn to the road number 1117 travel to Amphur Klong Lan for 36 kilometres. When arrive Klong Lan Market, turn right for 6 kilometres to the Headquarters.

From the town of Kampaeng Phet use the road number 1 from Tak province for 30 kilometres to Wang Chao Market. Take a left turn follow Wang Chao National Park sign mark at T-intersection in Ban Denda, until you meet the road number 2 at Wat Nong Daen. Then turn right and follow the road for 7 kilometres to the Headquarters.

Tourist Attractions
Hot Well: Hot Well warm water erupts from the earth face with average temperature of 50-70 degrees Celsius. The area covers 1 rai or 0.0016 km2. Located about 1.5 kilometres from Tao Dam. It is also a habitat of wild pig, barking deer and asmber deer.

Khao Kradan: Khoa Kradan is a cliff area of Khao Tao Dum Mountain, located nearby Tao Dum Waterfall. It’s so called Khao Kradran (Mountain Board) because its shape looks like a cliff that built from many wood boards overlaid up till 300 meter height.

Khao Panang Cave: Khao Panang Cave a big cave situates near Klong Suan Mak. The 100 meters long cave comprises with stalactite and stalagmite.

Klong Pong Waterfall: It is a slate waterfall consists of four levels. The top level is 100 meters high. Travelers have to walk about 20 km through semi-evergreen forest.

Klong Wang Chao Waterfall: Klong Wang Chao Waterfall is a middle waterfall in Klong Wang Chao. The water drops over 60 meters high cliff to the pool below. Situated on km. 29 of Wang Chao-Lo Ko road, 29 km from Phaholyothin road.

Pak Klong Nakiri: Pak Klong Nakiri a natural rapid has water flow over granite. It is a meeting point of Klong Wang Chao and Klong Nara Kiri.
