1 Chalok Baan Khao Beach
Location : South of Koh Tao
Third largest beach, located on the southern coast facing Phangan and Koh Samui. This bay is smaller than Sairee, but offers
a similar range of accommodation, eateries and nightlife. It is beautiful white sand about 500 m long and surrounding with
wonderful rock and cliff. Chalok Ban Kao is the most popular beautiful and quiet beach, which is good for tourists who love
private zone for relaxation. Due to the location of the beach, Chalok Baan Kao beach is sheltered from wind and tides all year,
shallow water, less slope. This beach is suitable for kids and family.
2 June Juean Beach
Location : South West of Koh Tao
A little beaches hidden on the pretty southwest coast of Koh Tao, best reached by foot or long tail or by rough motorcycle track.
This corner of the island is not outstandingly beautiful as are several others, nearby beaches. You'll find this small quiet beach
where you will probably be the only guest. A real getaway for travelers.
3 Mae Haad Beach
Location : North West of Koh Tao
This is a very pretty beach, all boats arrive here. Naturally highly developed, but still managed to keep some of its old fishing village
charm. Money exchange, post office, government office & health center are in Mae Haad and lots of travel agents, supermarkets,
bike rentals, restaurants and party venues.
The beach is long with soft white sand and has greatly improved road connections making it easy to get to. Had Mae Had is also a local
dive site - many companies offer snorkeling and scuba diving trips to the nearby island of Koh Ma, which has a stunning coral reef.
4 Sai Daeng Beach
Location : South of Koh Tao
Sai Deang Beah is a beautiful little cove on the southern tip of Koh Tao with only two resorts nestled into an idyllic landscape & a sandy
beach, it's not only famous for its beauty similar to Ao Leuk, but also for being closest to one of Tao's prime dive & snorkel sites at Shark
Island. This is a place for tourists who love private zone and quite sandy beach for relaxation.5 Sairee Beach
Location : West of Koh Tao
Sairee's white sandy beach stretches about 1.7 km over most of the west coast. The longest and most popular beach on the island stretches from
the statue of Rama IV in the south to the headland at the far north, almost opposite Koh Nang Yuan. Mae Haad is only a 10 min walk away. Being
the most popular area on Tao, Sairee offers a huge range of accommodation, dive centers, restaurants, shops, beach bars, travel & email services,
nurseries, etc. You also find here the Fishery Museum, the Rama V rock and on the way to Mae Haad the police station, the public school and the temple.
6 Thian Og Beach
Location : South East of Koh Tao
Thian Og Beach is located in eastern coast of koh Tao between Tanote bay and Hin Wong bay. It is one of the most beautiful
beaches on Koh Tao, and a very quiet spot which rarely gets very busy. Thian Og Beach is perfect for chilling out and enjoying
the serene side of Koh Tao. The sea water is absolutely clear and the beach is lined with coconut palms. It's a short beach
with only 300 meters long but it's a diving that has very beautiful coral reefs of Koh Tao. It's peaceful and pleasurable. Hotels in Thian Og Beach Area
1 Ao Luek Bay
Location : South East of Koh Tao
Ao Leuk is a beautiful big bay located on the way to Tanote bay, you can experience real solitude and serenity, which is perfect for swimming,
snorkeling and sunbathing. A great place to spend a day, week or month to snorkel, swimming or just hang around on the beach and watch
the coconut-tree leaf move in the sky.
There are wonderful fringing reefs on either side of the bay with amazing fish life, such as Butterfly fish, Monacle Breams, Nudibranchs, Jenkins
Rays, Saddleback Clown fish, and even the occasional Lion fish.
2 Ao Thian Og Bay (Rocky Bay)
Location : South East of Koh Tao
Thian Og Bay is known among foreign tourists as Rocky Bay. Rocky Bay is perhaps one of the most famous spots on Koh Tao.
The sea water is absolutely clear and the beach is lined with coconut palms. This bay is also an excellent place to just relax and
lie on the beach. The sand is very white and the water calm and shallow. It is really difficut to get here. Two choices are by
a long tail boat or 4-wheel car. It is surprisingly uncrowded, probably due primarily to the rocky road. Geting here, if you don't
mind of a long travel.
3 Hin Wong Bay
Location : North East of Koh Tao
Hin Wong Bay, an idyllic bay lined with palm trees lies at the end of a narrow valley in the northeast of the island. There is
hardly any beach; nevertheless it is an ideal place for snorkeling, particularly to the left of the rocks. This large shallow
sheltered bay is a great spot for training dives and snorkeling. In the shallows, amongst the big boulders you can find some
exciting swimthroughs.
4 Jansom Bay
Location : West of Koh Tao
Private bay with an exclusive, beautiful up-market resort and a budget bungalow. Only a 10 min walk from Mae Haad Bay.
Jansom Bay is a small protected cove offering it's visitors a great place to relax and snorkel. It's especially good for kids
because there is no currents and the water is clear and quite shallow. There is a wealth of marine life including many colorful reef
fish. There is also a good chance of spotting a Green Sea Turtle. This bay is a little treasure. It's a privately owned beach so expect to
be charged a small entrance fee.
5 Mango Bay
Location : North of Koh Tao
Mango Bay is located with a magnificent view of what is probably Koh Tao's most beautiful bay. The only bay in the North and can be
reached by a car or motobike or easy way to go by longtail boat. The landscape consists of high rocky cliffs and lush green hillsides
rising up from the water's edge and offering breathtaking views of the gulf to the north of Ko Tao. Little beach and excellent underwater
sights. Mango Bay is also one of the most beautiful places to snorkel and scuba dive on Koh Tao.

6 Tanote Bay
Location : East of Koh Tao
Well preserved bay away from the crowds with excellent snorkeling. Tanote Bay is located south of Laem Thian in a protected bay,
superb for snorkelers. The reef slopes from around 2 meters below sea level to around 18 meters.
Tanote Bay is a beautiful, secluded, pristine white sand beach, nestled between the rugged headlands of the east coast of Koh Tao.
The bay is famous for it's excellent snorkelling and scuba diving where vibrant coral reefs dot the clear blue shores The beach is
one of the best seashores on the island, with beautiful views of nearby Shark Island, Koh Phangan and tourist attractions.
