By Bus
Route 1 From Bangkok there are air-conditioned and non air-conditioned buses leave Bangkok's Northern Bus Terminal (Mo Chit 2) every 20 minutes from 05:30 am. until 08:30 pm. The journey takes 3 hours.

Route 2 From Ayutthaya there are local buses that leave every 10 minutes from Ayutthaya Bus Terminal to Lopburi Province. The journey takes 2 hours.

Route 3 From Kanchanaburi there area local buses to Suphanburi taking 2 hours, then another from there to Lopburi taking 3 hours.

By Car
Route 1 From Bangkok to Lopburi, it is a two hour drive either along No.1 (Phaholyothin Road) via Saraburi. The distance is 153 kilometers

Route 2 From Bangkok to Lopburi, take Highway No. 32 to Ayutthaya and then drive along Highway No. 347 to Lopburi via Tha Ruea District.
By Train
Route 1 From Bangkok, ordinary northern-route (Bangkok - Chiang Mai) trains leave Bangkok's Hua Lamphong Railway Station at 07:05 am. and 08:30 am. Both are third class only. Rapid trains leave the station 5 times a day (Travel time is 2.5 hrs). The last train of the day is at 06:05 pm. The train is very convenient, as the train station is within a few blocks of all the sights of town.

Route 2 From Ayutthaya there are regular 3rd class trains depart Ayutthaya to Lopburi. Travel time is 1 hour.

Getting Around
Many of the attractions around the old town are in walking distance of each other. To cross town there are plenty of songtaews running along Wichayen and Phra Narai Maharat Roads connecting the old and new towns. City buses (The blue local bus) are also available. Samlors, bicycle-pulled carriages, will go anywhere in the old town.
