Bueng BoraphetBueng Boraphet
The largest lake in Thailand, occupies an area of 140,000 rai of Amphoe Muang,Amphoe Tha Tako and Amphoe Chumsaeng. In the past it was called water plants. From the record there are 148 kinds of fresh water fishes and 44 kinds of water plants including many kinds of birds and rare fishes such as Princess Sirinthorn Bird and Sur Tor Fish. From the month of November to March there will be many teals that migrated and settle down at this lake. Because of these facts, parts of Bueng Boraphet areas were announced to be the prohibited place from hunting.

Khao Nor–Khao Kaeo 
These mountains are 63 kms. from Amphoe Banphotphisai situated beside Paholyothin highway (Nakhon Sawan Khamphaengphet). Khao Nor is a limestone mountain. At the foot of the mountain there is a wat and the stairs leading to peak and there is also a big reclining Buddha image at the mouth of the cave. King Rama V once stayed at this wat while on the way to the north. A lot of monkeys live at the foot of the mountain.

The Source of Chao Phraya River
is a junction of Ping River and Nan River at Tambon Pak Nam Pho. The water of the Ping flow reddish those of the Nan flow greenish, as visible from behind a market within the provincial city of Nakhon Sawan and when met become the source of Chao Phraya River, the most important river of Thailand.

Mae Wong National ParkMae Wong National Park
Mae Wong jungle is the border line of Khamphaengphet province and Nakhon Sawan province called Mae Wong-Mae Pern jungle, was announced to be the National Park on September 14, 1987, covers the areas of 894 square kilometers. The park consists of many types of economic trees such as teaks, Maka trees and Padoo trees.
Tourist attractions in the park:
Pa Nang Koy Waterfall has 4 levels. The water flows from Klong Klung creek. The waterfall is 800 meters from the Park's office. There are nature trails and places to tent overnight.
Nam Oon Pond is a natural underground water pond that is 50 degrees Celsius, about 1.5 kms. from the Park's office.
View Point along the Klong Larn-Um Phang Rd. between Km.57 and Km.117, there are many sight seeing points such as Km.81,87,92,102 and 115 specially at Km.102 there is a very pretty waterfall next to the road.
Mae Lee Wa Waterfall about 200 meters high with 9 levels, has water all year. Take 10 hrs. of walking to go up to the top. This waterfall was named the prettiest waterfalls in Asia in 1975 from the Asian Magazine.
Mae Kra Sa Waterfall about 900 meters high and 21 kms. from the Park's office.
Mae Rae Wa Waterfall 100 meters high and 21 kms. from the Park's office. To reach this park, take highway 1072 (Nakhon Sawan-Lard Yao-Klong Larn) from Nakhon Sawan city until you reach 65 kms. mark, then turn to highway 1117 (Klong Larn-Um Phang) to the National Park.

Sawan Park
The big public park in the heart of Nakhon Sawan, covers an area of 314 rai. Inside is the big swamp called “Nong Somboon“ It is a place for the recreation of the residents.

Tung Hin TernTung Hin Tern
70 kms. from the township, located at Moo 5 Tambon Pang Sawan Sub–Amphoe Mae Wong, is the meadow at the foot of the mountain where big rocks are erected in multi-tiered groups in different places and different formed, scattered along the compound in precarious balance.

 
Historical Sites
San Chao Por Taepharak–San Chao Mae Taptim
The most sacred pantheon, which is highly revered and the local point of Nakhon Sawan residents and their neighbors, is located at the Pak Nam Pho community on the bank of the Chao Phraya River.

Wat Chom Khiri Nak Phrotc
is situated on Buadnak Mountain just before Dechathiwong Bridge. In the history Burma attacked Ayutthaya and had a victory over, they built this temple in order to show that Thais and Burmese had the same religion. Also on the top of the mountain, there are the imitated Buddha's footprint place and the temple that was called "Wat Thavada Sang (The temple built by God)".

Wat Kriang Krai Klang
Located at Moo 5 Tambon Kriang Krai on the bank of Nan river approximately kms. from the city. This temple has many valuable ancient artworks such as Gold Buddha Image, Mural painting inside Ubosot. There are many monkeys that live around temple. There is also crocodile farm in the nearby area.

Wat Woranat Banphot (Wat Khao Khop)
This is an old monastery in Nakhon Sawan Province located on the top of Khao Khop 185.5 meters above sea level. There are two entrances: The first entrance has 437 steps to the top. The second entrance is going up by car. This temple has many valuable ancient monuments such as Buddha's Footprint, Buddha's relic pagoda that has the temple's histories engraved on. There is also the statue of Luang Phor Thong at the front of the main pagoda that local people respects.

Wat Nakhon Sawan (Wat Hua Muang)
Located on Sawanwithi Rd. in the city. This temple has the special Buddha's Image called "Phra Phu Hai A-pai Ying" located behind the main temple on Thepsithichai Rd., the first image faces east and the other faces west, were built by the Burmese as the mountains of forgiveness and stop the revenge. Inside the main temple there is another Buddha Image called "Luang Phor Sri Sawan"

Chan Sen Ancient CityChan Sen Ancient City
Located Moo 2 Tambon Chan Sen, Amphoe Ta Khlee, was built in Davaravadi period. The city was square with small canal surrounded. Many antiques were found in this city such as porcelain dolls, ancient earnings, base of the wheel that was the symbol of the Buddha's first sermon to his five chief disciples, ancient axes and stand up Buddha image.

Baan Kho Mai Den Ancient City
Located in Tambon Tha Nam Aoi, Amphoe Phayuhakhiri, 33 kms. from Nakhon Sawan city on highway 1 (Phaholyothin Rd.). This area represents the Sukhothai period as you can see from many ancient historical buildings and the remains of the city wall. The officials of the department of Fine Arts discovered the 1,000 years old ancient sculpture called "Phraya Chat Than". This village has foreign exhibitions by the American and Australians Archaeologist. In the past, this village was called "Muang Bon", was built in dharavafhi period from 1100-1600 B.C. The city was oval shape that looked like conch shell, 200 meters londg and 600 meters wide, similar to Nakhom Pathom city wall, Sae Ma City in Nakhon Ratchasima province and Phraya Rae city of Chon Buri province.
