One of only a handful of golf courses located within Bangkok suburbs, the
Bangkok Golf Club is also one of the most delightful, offering golf on cleverly
designed but extremely testing fairways and greens. Despite is central location,
just 30 minutes from the city center and 20 minutes from Don Muang international.
airport, this course has a refreshing rural appeal, thanks in part to the
many species of waterfowl that inhabit the numerous lakes and ponds. Highlights
of this testing course include the par four 14th whose island tee
is not for the faint-hearted. The clubhouse here is excellent and features
traditional Thai massage, golf pro shop and a choice of international, Italian
and Japanese restaurants.| Green Fees

The sheer quality of this championship course speaks for itself. From the
beautifully manicured greens to lush fairways, so springy, you can use a
fairway wood for every shot. There are four sets of tees and some very interesting
and testing holes on both the A9 and the B9. Holes 6, 7 and 8 are very demanding
par fours and play very long even from the ladies tees. There are many lateral
water hazards and several "water carry" holes. The clubhouse is noted for
its Krua Rangsit restaurant| Green Fees

Designer
Roger Packard has created a pleasant modern course, typical of the former
paddy field courses around Bangkok, with lots of water, wide fairways and
big greens. There has been a great deal of planting, so the courses already
are blessed with more shade than many of the newer courses. Lam Luk Ka requires
a thoughtful game strategy, particularly on the relatively new D nine. The
premium is accuracy, rather than power play. A few holes have water on both
sides of the fairway and at the back of the green. The big clubhouse provides
every amenity for the golfer.| Green Fees

This is an ideal course for the novice and high handicapper, on account
of its shortness and the excellent condition of the fairways. Generally,
the fairways are wide and the greens big and fast paced. Lakes flow around
the perimeter of the course, weaving in and around holes, but not unduly
disturbing play. For novelty, the 150 yard and 100 yard markers are plants
shaped into birds and animals. The clubhouse overlooks the island greens
of the ninth and eighteenth.| Green Fees

Younger
sister to the well established Muang-Ake, Vista offers a flat layout with
minimal landscaping and awkwardly placed hazards. The short par 70 course
has six par threes, all but one under 150 yards. Although the course is
surrounded by Klongs, there is plenty of space on most of the fairways,
so this is a good course for novices. The course is fully floodlit for night
golf. The clubhouse is pleasant without being pretentious and the ambience
is friendly.
