1 Khao Laem Ya
Location : Mueang District

Khao Laem Ya is a small laterite hill covering the area of 1.09 sq.km. Forests cover the southern cape
that project into the sea. Spectacular scenery of curvy and sandy beaches can be viewed afar from the
mountain top by looking into the west. Samet Island and another two small islands lie in the west right
in front from the lookout. Looking to the east, small bay with spacious sandy beach and some rocks in
crystal clear water can be seen.
How to get there
From Bangkok to Rayong take the highway no.3 (Sukhumvit Road), about 220 kms. Alternatively, take
highway no.36 (Pattaya – Rayong route) which come from highway no.3 at km.136. This will shorten the
distance about 35 kms. From Rayong city continue for another 12 kms, turn right at km 231. Follow the
road for 2 kms to get to Ban Phe. The boat jetty to Koh Samet is located here.
2 Wat Pa Pradu
Location : Mueang District

Wat Pa Pradu or Pa Pradu temple was constructed in the Ayutthaya Period and is one of the area's leading
temples, located on Sukhumvit Road. It features a large reclining Buddha which is over 11 metres long and
over 3 metres high. What is unique about the Buddha is that it reclines on its left side rather than the usual
right side. This difference makes the image highly revered amongst local people.
How to get there
Wat Pa Pradu is located in Rayong city and easy access by tuk – tuk or songtaew. From Rayong town, follow
Sukhumvit – Rayong Road pass Rayong Hospital and Wat Pa Padu School then turn left to Pa Pradu Road.
3 Sri Mueang Park
Location : Mueang District

The park is located in the center of town behind the city hall. The most prominent feature is a Buddhist Shrine
called Ho Phra Buddha Ang Khee Rot which is built over an artificial lake and in Traditional Thai architectural style.
A wide and spacious area, with a host of community facilities, including: a soccer field, exercise area, picnic spots,
gardens, and shady trees. In total, the grounds cover an area of 11 hectares (28 acres). Surrounding the park are
various municipal buildings: City Hall, the main public library, Law courts, and youth centres. According to the information
signs present, the park has a colourful history. At an unstated period in the past the park was used to despatch
miscreants to the next incarnation. The proximity of the provincial law courts supports this claim.
How to get there
Sri Mueang Park is located in the centre of town behind the city hall and easy access by tuk-tuk or songtaew.
4 Ban Phe Market
Location : Mueang District

Ban Phe Market is a busy fishing port and the center of local marine produce. The town of Ban Phe is
characterized by narrow streets of shops and houses. Ban Phe market is a great place to find fresh and dried
seafood especially shrimp paste. Shop in the main street stock a wide variety of marine produce and many
souvenirs and trinkets fashioned from shells of different shades and sizes.
How to get there
Ban Phe Market located 19 kilometers from town. From Sukhumvit Road, turn right at km 231 about five
kilometers, turn right at km 238 about 3 km.
5 The Park Adventure Land
Location : Mueang District

An eco-tour attraction with the area of more than 2000 rais (800 acres), The Park Adventure Land, Muang District,
Rayong features orchards, rubber trees gardens, Rusa farms, streams, and adventurous attractions. Surrounded by
a range of mountains, the Park Adventure Land allows you to enjoy the early-morning fog, and other activities such
as biking, rowing, swimming, strolling, and having a picnic on one of the tree houses.
How to get there
Take the Motorway from Bangkok, and take the Ban Beung exit. Then head to Klaeng district. Take a right turn at
Klaeng. Then take another right turn km. 247 at the junction near Kached Market. Keep driving for 10 km, and then
turn left at Ban Sangkarerk market, Kasetsiri Soi 3. Keep driving for another 3 km, and you will see The Park.
6 Rayong Aquarium
Location : Mueang District

Located in the Eastern Marine Fisheries Research and Development Centre, Ban Phe, the aquarium keeps various
kinds of beautiful fish and sea plants. The centre conducts study, research and testing regarding marine biology
and behaviors of marine life. A large aquarium with a tunnel allows visitors to see various beautiful fish as well as
economic-related creatures living in the mangrove forest such as cuttlefish, crab, giant clam, and horseshoe crab.
The outdoor aquarium also houses various marine life. The turtle pond houses hawksbill turtles, olive turtles, and
leatherback turtles. The fish pond houses large species of fish. Visitors can witness the real underwater world in a
special pond that houses starfish, anemone and sea cucumber. Various fishery tools in miniature are also displayed.
The Fossil Museum exhibits stuffed and extinct animals as well as a display of rare animals such as humpback
dolphin and Irrawaddy Dolphin. Seafood products are available on sale outside the building.
How to get there
From Rayong town drive along to Ban Phe, turn left to Ban Phe village and turn right at the intersection at km 1.5.
The Rayong Aquarium is located about 4 km from Ban Phe's pier
7 Khao Chamao Waterfall
Location : Klaeng District

Khao Chamao Waterfall or Namtok Khao Chamao located one kilometre before Khao Chamao - Khao Wong National Park.
This crystal clear waterfall comprises seven levels, stretching for three kilometres. The large pond called Wang Matcha,
is a habitat of brook carp. This waterfall is located near the park headquarters. It is a large waterfall spread with many
levels along a stretch of 3kms. The water is clear, making it easy to spot all the fish in the pools. Chan Wang Machar is
a particularly nice level to visit. There is a trail leading to the waterfall which passes through scenic forest and also it has
rest shelters and toilets.
How to get there
The waterfall is 70 kilometres from Rayong town. Follow Sukhumvit Road and turn right at the Khao Din Intersection,
kilometre 274. The waterfall is 16 kilometres away.
8 Khlong Pla Kang Waterfall
Location : Klaeng District

Located some 3 kilometers from the National Park Office is this 7-tiered waterfall. Reaching the top of the waterfall is
not quite an easy task as visitors have to walk through the verdant forest and also climb up the mountains. It is far
from crowded, even during the long weekends. Klong Pla Kang is very well preserved. The walking path and the nature
sites maintain their natural beauty. The water is full of river fish. Plant lovers should not miss this opportunity to see
several kinds of plants such as ferns, orchids, mushrooms, etc., while walking along the trails.
How to get there
The waterfall is just over 70 km. From Royong take highway about 3 – 7 km. past Klaeng district, then turn left on
highway 3377 to Nam Sai village. There turn right and drive 1 km. to the park.
9 Phra Chedi Klang Nam
Location : Mueang District

Phra Chedi Klang Nam is located at Paaknam and built at the center of the isle at the mouth of the Rayong River. The
origin of the pagoda, which stands about 10 meters high, is still unknown. Sailors once used it as the sign of arrival
in Rayong. There is a Loy Krathong festival and traditional boat racing during November every year. The local government
of Rayong built a bridge to this pagoda. Klang Naam Pagoda is now a symbol of Rayong and is what Rayong people
respect. Around mid December of every year which is a flood season, there is a presenting robes to monks and cover
clothes for pagoda tradition. Besides, there is a Loy Krathong festival and traditional boat racing in this area too. The
clothes covering the pagoda tradition has to use a red cloth which is 6 meters long, covered at the top of the pagoda
by two men. Around this pagoda, there is a pine forest for people to relax.
How to get there
Phra Chedi Klang Nam is located 2 kilometers from the city to the south near the mouth of Rayong river. From Rayong
city drive along Taksin Road, turn right to Samut Kong Kha Road drive along to Samut Chedi Road, Phra Chedi Klang
Nam is located at the end of street.
10 The Old – Hip Market at Yom Jinda Road
Location : Mueang District

Yom Jinda Road is the land mark of Rayong province full of old wooden house through two side of the road. Beside, it
is also location of fresh market, bank, cinema, commercial building maintaining cultural transmission from generation
to generation that can see trade brilliance trail in the past. The name "Yom Jinda Road" because the house of last ruler
of Rayong set majestically on this road constructed nearly 80 years ago, the first owner his name is Srisamut Phok
Chai Kodchitsongkharm or Im Yom Jinda. Not far away, visitors and residents will meet at the fresh market and every
thing can found here. Shortcut for a walk in the old market. Nowadays it is a traditional district and make it better in
new look with the way of the people in real communities.
How to get there
Yom Jinda Road is located in Rayong city and easy access by tuk-tuk or songtaew. From Rayong town drive along
Sukhumvit - Rayong Road passes Rayong Hospital, turn right to Pa Pradu Road and then turn left to Yom Jinda Road.
11 Suan Suphattra Land
Location : Klaeng District

Suan Suphattra Land is located in Baan Khai district and is a paradise for the fruit lovers. The orchard is open to
the public and it grows succulent durian, rambutan, mangosteen, starfruit, dragon fruit, etc. They generally
mature in late April to June. Visitors can enjoy the pleasant surroundings, also and pick fruits from the trees.
Within the farm is the famous fruit buffet, a bounty of fresh fruit all sliced and diced and ready to be eaten - as
much as you can handle. Suan Supatra Land also grows organic vegetables and on the tour you’ll have a chance
to eat a fresh plate of green papaya salad (som tam) made with ingredients picked right from the farm.
How to get there
From Rayong town, drive along high way no. 3138, 9 kilometers and then turn right to Ban Bueng village forward to
Baan Khai District. After pass Ban Kai hospital turn right at intersection, 8 km the garden located on right side.
Suan Suphattra Land is located in Baan Khai district, 30 kilometers from town.
12 Koh Kloi Floating Market
Location : Klaeng District

Koh Kloi Market is a wonderful new place to relax in Rayong. This is a small town, full of friendly people, with the
same Thai spirit of the past. Koh Kloi Floating market is the new market that built in antique style. After opened
the market was popular and became getting well known in visitors group as it was new tourist attraction of Rayong
province. The market has several kinds of good such as hand made accessories, eye-catching photograph, postcard,
wall hanging, other decorative items for home and some souvenir. More over, there are old style pushcarts along
the way that provide some snacks drink and food zone.
How to get there
From Bangkok, drive along highway no. 7 (motorway Chonburi – Pattya) to end road, turn left to no. 36 until Rayong
district. Ko Kloi Floating Market located on the right side, opposite Big C Super Market.
13 Khao Wong Cave
Location : Klaeng District

Khao Wong Cave is in a limestone mountain. A steep cliff and rocks covered with forest are the signature of Khao Wong.
There are various exotic plants here such as Dracaena loureiri and Malayan spurge trees. Tourists can also see limestone
eroded by rain. Inside Khao Wong, there are more than 80 limestone caves. In most of the caves, stalagmites and stalactites
are still developing naturally. Some caves have streams running through them.
How to get there
From Rayong town, take the turning at km. 288 on the Sukhumvit Road and travel a distance of 12 kilometers to find the caves.
14 Sunthon Phu Monument
Location : Klaeng District

The Statue of Sunthorn Phu Phra Chedi Klang Nam: Being further down the beautiful road going towards Klaeng district,
53 kilometers from town, the great poet of the Ratanakosin Era has been designated is located in the village of Ban Kram,
the birthplace of Sunthorn Phu's father. There is a well-kept memorial park at the house site. A statue of the poet in a
seated position is placed on a hillock overlooking an ornamental pond, Characters from his most famous work can be seen
below him. His beloved hero, Phra Aphaimanee, is playing a flute at the foot of the hill. The graceful mermaid rests on a
rock in the pond as a giant ogress rises out of the water.
How to get there
Sunthon Phu Memorial Park is located between Ban Phe district and Klaeng district in the village of Ban Khram. The site is
easily accessible by bus, tuk-tuk and taxi.
15 Ban Kon Ao
Location : Mae Ramphueng Beach, Mueang District

Ban Kon Ao or know as the fisherman's village located at the end of Mae Ramphueng beach. Ban Kon Ao is the best place in
town to learn the traditional way of life from fisherman which you will see how they catch fish and process seafood. An
additional attraction worth.
How to get there
Ban Kon Ao Fisherman's Village just 22 kms (14 miles) from Rayong town.
16 Herb Garden of Princess Sirindhorn
Location : Klaeng District

The Herb garden was established to commemorate the 50th anniversary of H.R.H Princess Sirindhorn paradise of knowledge.
It is a paradise of knowledge and a place to collect 260 groups of rare species of herbal trees according to 20 categories old
medical records. Do not forget to see the nutmeg tree, the auspicious tree of this garden. Exhibition and display installed inside
the building and inside there is a pharmacist called "Baan Mhor Ya" that has many old herbs.
How to get there
From Bangkok, drive along highway no. 7 (motorway Chonburi – Pattya) to end road, turn left to no. 36 until Mab-ka cross road,
Rayong. Turn right under flyover to no.3191, follow the sign and it is on your right.
17 The King Taksin Shrine
Location : Mueang District

The shrine is located of Wat Lum Mahachai Chumpon which commemorates King Taksin the Great's brief sojourn in Rayong. In
front of the shrine is a large tree of the genus, Parkia, where according to local legend, his elephant was believed to be stabled.
It is highly revered by the people, particularly those of Chinese ancestry, and attracts large crowds during Chinese New year
celebrations.
How to get there
From Rayong toen, take Sukhumvit Road for 200 metres and turn right at the Taksin intersection into Taksin Maharat Road.
18 City Pillar Shrine
Location : Mueang District

City Pillar Shrine located on Lak Mueang Road, this shrine was first built of wood. Then it was replaced by a concrete
construction with Chinese characteristics. The old city pillar was formerly in front of the shrine. A new one was later
set up with a four-porched shelter. A celebration is held annually during the Songkran festival in mid – April.
How to get there
City Pillar Shrine is located in the centre of town, the easy access by tuk – tuk or songtaew.
19 Prince of Chumphon Shrine
Location : Klaeng District

Near the mouth of the river Prasair is the district of Klaeng is the Somdet Krommaluang Chumphon shrine, which honors the
"Father of the Royal Thai Navy". He is also known as Admiral Prince Abhakara Kiartivongse.
He was the 28
th son of the prominent Thai King Rama V, and he showed an early interest and ability in
nautical matters. He spent six years in the UK studying at the Royal Naval Academy. Upon his return to Siam (Thailand) he
held a number of important positions in the Royal Thai navy. He is noted for modernising the navy and creating a professional
officer corps. He became the Commander of the Navy in 1922.In addition to his naval studies the Prince is also known as a
herbal doctor, a boxer, and artistic painting. He is well remembered in Thailand. The anniversary of his death, May 19, is the
Royal Thai Navy Day.
How to get there
To reach the site turn off the Sukhumvit Road at KM. 278 and travel a distance of 9 kms.
20 Wat Ban Don Shadow Play Museum
Location : Mueang District

The shadow puppets are about 200 years old. Phya Sri-samut (Kate Yomchinda), former Rayong governer bought them from
Pattalung, 200 puppets, while they were very popular and still on the show. He hired the puppet master to teach his people.
While traveling from Pattalung to Rayong, the ship faced severe storm across the gulf of Siam. Some puppets slipped and fell
into the sea and they survived except "Sita" the main character. Finally, they found she struck to the rudder of the ship after
storm. These puppets are long descending heritage. Their beautiful patterns are considered classic craftsmanship, sacred and
be respected. They must be stored in high place and safe. It also keep Grand Shadow Plays which are currently on show. If you
are interested to see the Grand Shadow Play, you should contact the office 5 days before. Moreover, there is a massage service
by the group of conservative Thai massage in Temple areas.
How to get there
From Rayong city drive along route no. 36, turn left at Ban Don intersection and then turn right follow the road for 2 kms to get
to Ban Don Temple.
21 Lotus Crystal Factory
Location : Nikompattana District

Crystal products are made from Rayong's good quality sand. The Lotus Crystal Factory is open to public. The product range
consists a full range of handmade crystal, are tableware, bowl, vase, trophy, decorative article and etc. Each piece of 24%
PbO crystal produced by Lotus crystal is mouth-blown, handmade and accomplished through unique craftsmanship of Thai
artisans. The items are intended for both practical use and souvenirs.
It starts by master blower whose creates the product shape, using is skill and experience. After forming process, master
engraver decorates the piece. Slight variations among the pieces are thus not uncommon; they bespeak originality and dexterity.
The result is the individually crafted object d'art.
22 Suan Son Pine Park
Location : Pluak Daeng District

Suan Son Pine Park is located approximately 4 kilometers from Ban Phe Village and also know as the casuarina (pine) gardens.
Travel along the beach-front road and visitors will find a place that offers true relaxation under the shade of pine trees. The
scenic beach is eminently suited to relaxation and swimming. It is a place locals favour for picnics because of its shady areas
and great view of the beach. The stalls and restaurants around the beaches offer some excellent seafood dishes.
How to get there
Suan Son Park is accessible by taxi and songtaew. You can get there by bus, but given the short distance and the fact that
most people will not be in the area for an extended period, a quick taxi journey is recommended.
23 Wat Khodtimtaram
Location : Tha Pra Du District

It is located in Tha Pra Du district which is the oldest temple in Rayong, was built in 1464 by Tim, the governor of Rayong, since
the late of Ayutthaya. There are paintings inside the old valuable church, painted by local painter. It is all about the 10 life of Jakata
and Loung Por Kaow image which is a respectfully monk of Rayong people, more than 500 years of age. The annual festival is
held on 13-15 April of every year.
24 Wat Nam Tok Tamros
Location : Mueang District

The monastery is located in Payupnai district, 120 acres large. Loung Por Thammarod or Loung Por Klai Thidtathammo of
Thammarod Waterfall Monastery is an abbot of this temple, using for merit. There are many attractions such as Pra Jaow
Perd Loak image of Buddha, Bodhisattava image, Destoyed Devils Bell Tower, which are really graceful.
25 Wat Saranat Thammaram
Location : Klaeng District

This temple is located a in Klaeng town and was constructed in 1944 A.d. This very imposing structure boasts one of the most
beautiful Ubosots in the East. Replicas of many well-known Buddhist chedis are erected around the compound and consists of a
huge Ubosot and replicas (though much smaller) of four famous pagodas, namely Bodhgaya, Phra Pathom Chedi, Phrathat
Phanom and Borommathat Chaiya. The assistant of the abbot walked us around and showed us the main Buddha image inside
the Ubosot. The temple is also known for some important Buddha emblems which had been blessed in a ceremony with the
famous Luang Phor Waen and Luang Phor Tim. A really special temple to visit on the way to the south-east of Thailand.
26 Dok Krai Reservoir
Location : Pluak Daeng District

The reservoir covers 20,000 rais of land, is surrounded by the natural beauty ideal for relaxing, camping and educational tour also
located in Pluak Daeng district, 35 kilometers from Rayong Town. This is the center of development projects under the advice of
H.M.King Bhumipol Adulyadej on agriculture, fishery, irrigation, land and farm animals.
How to get there
Dok Krai Reservoir located in Pluak Daeng District, 35 kilometers from Rayong Town. From Rayong drive along route no. 36,
turn right to route no. 3191 and follow the road to get to Dok Krai Reservoir.
27 Suan Wang Kaew
Location : Klaeng District

This is agreeably one of the most picturesque part of the east coast and used to be the most famous tourist spot. Wang Kaew
is a beautifully landscaped headland with a fine beach and accommodation available in cottages and bungalows. It is 38
kilometers from town.
How to get there
Saun Wang Kaew is located about 38 kilometres from Rayong town, the park is on the beach road, 11 kilometres from Suan Son Pine Park.
28 Strawberry Town
Location : Mueang Rayong
