Koh Lipe is a small island in the Southern part of the Andaman sea. It is located in Satun Province, close to Langkawi island (Malaysia). Koh Lipe (sometimes referred to as Ko LeePay or Koh Lipeh) is part of the Tarutao National Marin Park, There are 3 main beaches: Pattaya Beach, Sunrise and Sunset Beach.

The Pattaya Beach is most popular and has a wide variety of place to stay drink and eat as well as nightlife. While Sunrise beach give you more privacy and a few resorts are on this side. Sunset beach is the smallest and only a couple of place to stay. Because the island is very small you can explore it within 2 hrs. Accommodations are available in various parts of the island.

From November until May there are daily ferries from several location in the

- Andaman Sea: Koh Phi Phi, Koh Lanta, Koh Mook, Koh Bulone and many more: You can check details at www.tigerlinetravel.com
- From Phuket, Kho Lak, Krabi, Koh Samui and Guf of Thailand : Suggest to stay overnight on Koh Lanta, then you can travel to Koh Lipe with several boats going everyday in high season. Another option is to travel to Trang and then connect to Koh Lipe.

• Low Season: May - November : Daily speedboat from Pakbara Only
The boat leaves 3 times daily at 11.00, 12.00 and 14.30 from the mainland and at 9.00, 10.00, 13.30 from Lipe island during the high and peak season. Lipe island to the resort, easily take the long tail boat at the platform only THB 50/person/way.

Koh Lipe • Train or Bus from Bangkok to Hat Yai
Trains leave Bangkok's Hua Lamphong Train Station/ Southern Terminal between 17.00h and 20.00h every day. It takes 15 hrs for this journey!! Please choose the first most comfortable one.

• Fly from Bangkok to Hat Yai
There are several flights per day between Bangkok and Hat Yai. Flights take a little over 1 hour. Expect to pay between 1000 and 2000 THB with cheap airlines like Air Asia & Nok Air, and 3000 and up with Thai Airways.

If your flight arrives before 9.00 in the morning (11.30 if you have a private taxi pre-arranged to pick you up) you have time to make it for the last ferry. If you arrive after 12.00 am we suggest you spend the night in Hat Yai as you will miss the last boat.

• From Hat yai to Pakbara
The traveling time from Hat Yai to Pakbara is 1.30 hrs, the public van is available at 8.00-900; However a taxi or private car is a good option if you arrive less than 3 hrs leaving from Pakbara. The boat leaves daily at 12.30 from the mainland and leaves at 9.00 daily from Lipe Island during the low season.

The boat leaves 3 times daily at 11.00, 12.00 and 14.30 from the mainland and at 9.00, 10.00,13.30 from Lipe island during the high and peak season.
