Laem Sok
Location : Amphoe Muang
was used as the residence of Krom Luang Chumpornkhet Udomsak, the father of Thai Royal Naval Army,
Red sand can be found nearby the area and site of interests are villages of fishermen, namely Laem Hin
and Ao Cho. They brought an elephant to extract the pole of the shrine but didn't fall.
The shrine was later renovated and is paid respect by residents in the province up to present.
The shrine of the town's guardian spirit
Location : Amphoe Muang
lies on Luk Muang Road near Wat Yothanimit, it is different from other shrines. The structure
features a Chinese shag. It was assumed that. The Great King Taksin set up the shrine while
assembling his army to redeem the independence of the country. While seizing Trat, it was said
that, French troops saw the province's residents pay respect to the shrine every day.
Residanggamport Residence
Location : Amphoe Muang
On Lak Muang Road, this is an old 3-story building that was once used as the residence
of the French governor when the town was occupied in 1904-1907. Subsequently, from 1928,
it became the residence of Trat's governors.
City Pillar
Location : Amphoe Muang
Located on Lak Muang Road, the City Pillar stands in a Chinese-style building.
Erected by King Taksin, it is a highly revered edifice for the townspeople.
Koh Chang Yutthanawi Memorial (Naval Battle Monument Pier)
Location : Amphoe Laem Ngob
The Koh Chang Yutthanawi Memorial, at Laem Ngop, commemorates the Franco-Thai
naval engagement on January 17, 1941. Other attractions at the memorial include
the Statue of Prince Chumphon, father of the Thai navy, and a warship-shaped
museum displaying old equipment and armaments of the fleet with exhibits on
the Koh Chang naval battle.
Wat Saphan Hin (Saphan Hin Temple)
Location : Amphoe Muang
is expected to be at least 100 years old but no evidence indicating when it was exactly built
has been found. In the middle of the pond is situated and old church, a kilometer the temple.
Two lines of stones are used in communication between the two banks and the church.
Wat Yotha Nimit
Location : Amphoe Muang
This temple, which is also known as Wat Bot, is located on Tetsaban 4 Road
near the city pillar. With fine murals in its former Ubosot, the temple
was once used as the site for the government officials' oath of allegiance
ceremony during the reign of King Taksin. The rite was shifted to Wat Phai Lom by King Rama V.
Location : Amphoe Muang
Located on Plai Khlong Road, the temple dates from the mid-17th century and features
the oldest wooden image hall in the country, while the surviving murals are of
the early Rattanakosin period. The temple's museum houses a number of ancient relics.
Buddha images in different postures, and Chinese and European porcelain.
Wat Muang Kao Saen Tum
Location : Amphoe Khao Sa Ming
in Khao Tah Moh, Moo 7 Baan Erem. Tambon Praneet. The temple is 38 km. far from
Amphoe Khao Saming Office. In the southern area lies dark brown stone ingots of different shapes
from 4 to 9 sides. The stones are 30-150 cm. in length and weigh from 10-100 km.
The way the stones are put and piled up suggests that the area once used to be a place of worship.
When Knocked upon, some stones give the sound resembling that of belts. The Historical
site is believed to be built in pre-BC time.
Khao Lan Thai Red Cross Centre
Location : Amphoe Klong Yai
The Khao Lan Thai Red Cross Centre on Trat-Khlong Yai Highway at Km. 48 was formerly
a facility to assist Cambodian refugees who fled the fighting in their country into
Thailand from 1978 until peace was restored in 1986. After the refugees were repatriated,
the centre was closed. Today, the site has been adapted into a tourist facility.

Talat Ploy
Location : Amphoe Borai
Talat Ploy, or Gem Markets in Amploe Borai is noted as a source of rubies or the so-called Thapthim Siam.
Interesting jewel markets are Talat Phloi Hua Thung, Talat Phloi Ban Sa Yai, Talat Phloi Nong Bon,
etc. The business hours of these markets begin from dawn till 10 a.m. Presently, the jewel business
has come to a recess because less rubies are available. Visitors are welcome to explore the
markets and purchase gems on sale.
Ban Hat Lek
Location : Amphoe Klong Yai
Ban Hat Lek is the farthest border village in Trat. It is on Highway No. 318
within Khlong Yai District about 16 kilometers from the district town,
or approximately 89 kilometers from the provincial capital. After the
conflict ended in Cambodia, it has become a channel for Thai-Cambodia trading.
There is an immigration check point at the border. Visitors wishing to enter Cambodia
from here have to apply for visa at the Cambodian Embassy in advance. Along Highway
No. 318 (Trat-Khlong Yai) are several white clean beaches and other attractions including:
Ban Nam Chiao
Location : Amphoe Laem Ngob
This village is approximately 8 kilometers from town on the Trat-Laem Ngop route.
It is noted for Ngop Nam Chieo, a native hat to ward off the sun. The hat,
which is still widely used today as it is light and comfortable, is woven with local
palm leafs grown in mangrove area. In addition to the traditional shape, it has been
adapted into other more fashionable shapes as souvenirs.
ORIENTAL GARDEN
Location : Amphoe Khao Sa Ming
is a place to learn more of OTOP products to export of Trat province. Located on 87 Moo 5 Sukhumvit
Rd. Tambon Khao Sa Ming, situated from town about 17 km.
