Full Moon Party
More than 10,000 tourists flock to the island to have fun on the renowned party. The bigger size the moon is, the more people there are. It can’t be anything else but the Full Moon Party that is held every month on Haad Rin. To make sure you have complete fun during your holiday, there are packages that make sure of your comfort starting from transport to different types of accommodation to choose from to meals and relaxing leisure activities.

1Full Moon Party

Location : Rin Beach Full Moon Party There are about 10,000 people every month at this Koh Phangan beach party. It is of course known as the Full Moon Party. International and Thai DJ's are making the crowd go wild. Paint yourself in UV colors and let your body lose control. The DJ's play all kinds of music; Techno, Trance, Goa, D&B, Dub, Reggae, Commercial hits, House etc. There are many small tables on the beach where you can sit down with your friends or meet new ones. You can order drinks and food from the restaurants and the bars next to the beach.

How to get there
From Koh Samui, many young people who visit the Full Moon Party on Koh Phangan, stay on Koh Samui and travel over to the party on the evening of the event itself. Travelling to Koh Phangan from Koh Samui is fairly straightforward, with the journey taking about 45 minutes by boat.

On the night of the Full Moon Party there are extra boat services put to on to transport people between the two islands. Most of these boats tend to leave Samui from the pier at Bang Rak (Big Buddha Beach) or from Maenam.

To purchase a ticket for one of these boats, the easiest option is to visit one of the islands many tour operators who will be able to sell you a ticket. However, you should be aware that sometimes, more tickets are sold for these boats than there are actual seats available. This can lead to long queues forming as people wait to board a boat. On some occasions, it has even led to the boats being dangerously overcrowded.

2Half Moon Festival

Location : Baan Tai Black Moon Culture The Half Moon Festival goes off twice a month and it's a massive event. It happens a week before and a week after the Full Moon Party (FMP) in brilliantly decked out Ban Tai jungle with resident DJs Jao, Psy-Frog and Note; expect hard progressive and quality trance from the Harmony team.

How to get there
From Bangkok's airport, get a taxi to "Khao San Road" walk in any Travel Agency and buy a bus or Train Tickets to PHANGAN Island. Usually bus & trains leaves around 7pm, you sleep over-night and you will get to Phangan by the next day before 11am.

You can also fly From Bangkok to Samui Island in 45 minutes then take the air-con Lomprayah Catamaran (cost around 10USD) approx 30 minutes to Phangan Island or there is a speed Boat service from Phetcharat pier (Koh Samui).
