Koh Phangan [เกาะพะงัน] is an island which is located in the Surat Thani Province. Koh Phangan is the best known for its FULL MOON PARTY at Haad Rinn Beach and it is one of the most popular destinations among backpacker tourists in Thailand. The island offers many activities for all types of travelers, you can enjoy trekking, kiteboarding, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, paintball, yoga, Muay Thai martial arts and many more. The most picturesque of the Thai festivals is held on the full-moon of the 12th lunar month. Little candle-lit krathongs are launched onto the water as an offering to Mother Water. People apologize for polluting the water and promise to do better in the future.
